James A. Hartronft

James A. Jim Age 78, of 3421 Lisk Rd., Odessa, formerly of Lodi, died on Thursday March 14, 2002 at the home of his niece. Jim was born on September 15, 1923 in Cordell, Oaklahoma to Frank E. and Narcussia J. Chester Hartronft. He is survived by a step son Larry (Pauline) Depew of San Jose, Ca., his niece Cheyrl Bailey and several other nieces and nephews and their families in Oaklahoma, Texas and New York, and family members of his late wife Lillian (who passed away in Jan. 17, 2000) A memorial service with full military honors by the Ovid Color guard will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2002 at 3:00pm officiated by Pastor Ellie Haber of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Covert Funeral Home 9 Washington St. Trumansburg from 2-3pm prior to the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Odessa, NY. Jim served his country in three campaigns during World War II in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 earning three bronze stars.
