Lisa Palumbo Obituary
BURDETT - 58, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Feb. 18, 2018. The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Saturday (Feb. 24th) from 5pm-8pm; followed by a memorial service at the funeral home at 8:00pm. Those wishing may consider a memorial donation in her memory to the Schuyler County Humane Society, PO Box 427, Montour Falls, NY 14865 (or online at www.SchuylerHumane.org) She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Palumbo; children, Vanessa Ganascioli-Riley, Shelby Ganascioli-Riley, Joseph Palumbo, Maya Palumbo; mother, Patricia Ganascioli (predeceased by her father, Richard Ganascioli); sister, Maria (Paul) Scrimale; dogs, Fiona, Gordon, and Otis; as well as many friends and relatives. Lisa was a compassionate person, this was expressed through her work, friendships, community, and especially her family. Lisa's greatest pleasure in life was watching her kids grow. Lisa was such a loving person. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome,loved and appreciated. Always one to give advice (which at times doubled as the funniest). A one of a kind kindred spirit who will always be loved & missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

My heart is just broken. I knew Lisa back when she was in nursing school and she and I were best of friends. Besides family she was the only one I would let watch my young daughter Jennifer. And they both loved each other to the moon! My deep condolences to her family! Heaven has received a very special angel. R.I.P. my dear friend

Lisa was our Dir of Nursing at Beechtree Center. She was so thoughtful, and concerned about our staff. She greeted every Resident by their first names. She loved sharing stories and pictures of her four children. She was so proud of them. Her office was always available to us!!! She definitely had The Open Door Policy.
When my Mom passed in Sept of 2015- Lisa would call and or tex me to make sure all was ok with me. She had a HUGE HEART!!!!
GOD BLESS LISA'S FAMILY.
HEAVEN HAS GAINED ANOTHER GREAT SOUL!!!!!

Lisa will truly be missed. She was an amazing nurse and leader. I will never forget all that I learned from Lisa. She was one of my instructors when I was a nursing student and later in my career she was my mentor. I love you Lisa. Brenda Prins RN

Lisa was our Dir of Nursing at Beechtree Center. She was always upbeat. She was very supportive of our Nursing Staff. She always gave staff second chances. She new ALL the Residents and Staff by their first names. Always willing to give a helping hand. Loved to smile and have fun. She will be missed.
May the Souls of the Faithful departed through the Mercy of God REST IN PEACE.
