Lorie A. Ellison

Lorie A. Ellison, 66, of Parkersburg, WV passed away June 3, 2021 at Camden Clark Medical Center following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer .

She was born August 14, 1954 in Elmira Heights, NY, the daughter of the late Loren A. Canfield and Blanche E. More. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Ronald and Jerry Canfield.

She is survived by her husband of 39+ years Roger Ellison, twins Megan and Andrew Ellison, as well as many nieces, nephews, and family and family who loved her.

Lorie was a veteran of the United States Army, having held a top secret security clearance, and attained the rank of Specialist 4 in her duties involving military intelligence.

Lorie had an insane love for NASCAR, longtime member of the Mark Twain Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, enjoyed researching genealogy, cooking delicious food for her family, and taking in the neighborhood cats.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, techs of Marietta Memorial Hospital and Camden Clark Medical Center. They would also like to thank the Willows Center and Parkersburg Care and Rehab for their loving care during this time. We greatly appreciate all who took part in making Lories life better during this journey .

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the to the Gideons International. A memorial service will be held at a later time. A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.

i am so sorry to hear about Lorie. i was with her in the mark twain cadets and she and i hung out alot together, she was an amazing lady and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family
