Michael Donahue Obituary
Age 50, of Elmira, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 14th, 2012. He was born in Ithaca, NY May 12th, 1962. He is survived by his sons, Michael Anthony Donahue, Nicholas Ryan Donahue, Randal Alexander Donahue, all of Rochester, NY; mother, Virginia (Maurice) Guinup of Newark, NY; father, Kenneth (Pollyanne) Donahue of Leesburg, FL; brothers, Denny Wheeler of Rochester, NY, William (Kathleen) Guinup of Newark, NY; fiancée, Lisa Wakefield of Elmira and her children, Joseph (Kari) Wakefield of Elmira, Heather (David) Austin of Elmira, Tiffani Wakefield of Elmira, NY, Alecia Wakefield of Elmira and their children, Justice Wakefield, Patrick Wakefield of Elmira. Michael was an employee for Kennedy Valve for two years. He was a devoted father who loved to camp. He was a good cook who loved family picnics, dogs, and carpentry, and wood working. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Wednesday, December 19th 2012, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services celebrating Michael Allen Donahue's life will be held there following the calling hours at 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will remain private at the family's convenience in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Rochester, NY. Those wishing please make memorial donations in Michael's name to the ASPCA.

Hey Dad,
I still can't believe that you're actually gone. I know you are watching over us though. It is just sad how you don't get to finish seeing us grow up. See my cross the stage for my graduation, see us get married and have grandchildren. When we do have kids I won't forget to tell them what a good person you are. You are just a lovable person. I can't think of a reason why someone would dislike you. You were great with kids and had such great humor. Not a day will go by where I won't think about you. I can't believe you died so young, but as they say the good die young. This is one of the hardest things I have had to go through and I wish you were here to help me go through but if you were here I wouldn't have to go through it. I'm living a nightmare that doesn't go away. It feels like i'm waiting for the weekend to come so you can come pick me up for the weekend or for Christmas. You are truly all I want for Christmas dad. I want you back here with us. I miss you dad and I love you so much.

Very sad to hear this. Only worked with Mike for a short while @ Borg Warner, but we worked well together, and I learned a lot about machines and Poker. My prayers go out to the family, and the Boys.

Mike you have made my Aunt so happy I do not think in my 28 years I have ever seen her so happy you touched my moms life as well she spoke of you often and would tell me your jokes when she would come home from KV, although the most I ever saw of you was a beep and wave from your motorcycle I know your a good person.....I am glad to know in my heart that you are watching over my aunt and my baby cousins and holding them tight as the mourn losing you and I know that every day for the rest of they're lives you will watch over them and guide them. May you rest in piece and crack the other angels up with your jokes.....I know you are having fun with all of those little babies that went home to rest in peace my friend see you soon!!!!

Uncle mike,
We all wish we could have met you. You made my cousins and aunt very happy I respect you in every way for loving them and caring for them never causing them harm. Though we spoke only once you will never be forgotten by any of us. I love ya uncle mike. I wish you could have met my youngest 3 girls. But your with your family and our family in heaven my son has welcomed you right along with god himself to join heaven by gods side with my son and everyone else we all ever loved. Thank you for always making my family happy. Your memories will live on through all of us.

I love you dad. I miss you like crazy and it still feels like your gonna walk through the door at anytime. Thank you so much for changing our lives and making my mom so happy.
