Mildred Bliss Obituary
Mildred "Millie" Bliss, 93, passed away peacefully at The Green Home in Wellsboro, PA on August 5, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband Mahlon "Pooch" Bliss and son Gordon "Scoop" Bliss. Millie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, O. Eugene Bliss (Cherie) of Singers Glen, VA and Dr. Weldon E. Bliss (Patricia) of Astin, PA; granddaughter Joy L Mitchell of Lawrenceville, PA; and very special great granddaughter, Alyse M Mitchell of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Millie is also survived by four other grandchildren, seven other great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Millie also leaves behind numerous other friends and family who loved her unconditionally. Millie lived a long and very fulfilling life serving others and her community, something that she always cherished. Millie was a long time resident of Lawrenceville, PA and served on the Borough Council for over 20 years. She was also a Justice of The Peace, a school bus driver for RB Walter Elementary and Williamson High Schools, and served on the Northern Tier School District School Board for a number of years. Millie was also a member of The Calvary United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, PA. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Calvary United Methodist Church Friends In Deed Fund, Franklin St, Lawrenceville, PA.
