Paul Howe Obituary
Gretna, LA - Paul Rhodes Howe, age 66, of Gretna, LA, formerly of Big Flats, NY, passed away July 1, 2021. Paul was born in Elmira, NY, on July 21, 1954, son of the late Lyman H. and Louise B. Howe of Big Flats, NY. He was predeceased also by sister Nancy Julia Howe, Big Flats. He was a 1972 graduate of Horseheads High School and a 1976 graduate of Syracuse University, College of Forestry. Paul was a skilled mason throughout most of his life and took great pride in his creativity with brick and stonework. However, he took the most pride in his two sons, Paul M. Howe (Alana Cueller), St. Croix Falls, WI and Adam N. Howe, Charlotte, NC, who survive him. He is survived also by his sisters, Linda (Timothy) Kirkland, Waycross, GA, Gail (Larry) Lewis, St. Petersburg, FL, and Martha Hoffman of Big Flats and by his longtime friend Warren Woods of New Orleans, LA, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services. At the convenience of the family, cremains will be scattered near his childhood home in the Chemung River Valley where his lifelong love of fishing and canoeing began.
