Randal Brooks Obituary
Age 20, of Elmira, NY, passed away very unexpectedly on Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was born on December 31, 1991 to Randall and Carla Brooks. Bede will be remembered by his loving smile and the beautiful heart he had. He loved to rap and sing. Bede is predeceased by his brother, Keith Payne. He is survived by his mother, Carla Brooks (Tony); father, Randall Brooks (Edythe); grandmother, Winnie Cook; grandparents, Eddie and Veronica Brooks; sisters, Veronica Cook and Alicia Coats; brothers, Jovon and Clinton Brooks, David Holmes, Jamel Lewis; special aunt, Brenda Caldwell; uncles, Douglas Cook, Willie, Wesley, Randy and Lee; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. RIP Bede. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 12th, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Shabach Tabernacle of Praise at 1133 Lake St., Elmira. Funeral services will take place there at 12 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.

Bede, you were in my life for a very short time but you have left the biggest impression. The hugs and laughs we share, i will always treasure in my heart. Only God can guide us and give us comfort during such difficult times. I will always remember this young man's big heart and smile. Its a shame that he was taken from this earth so soon, but there is a peace and comfort knowing that he is in a much better place. May God bless and keep his family. I will always remember the leadership and wisdom that he showed during a youth retreat . This is when i truly realized how special this young man could be. So much potential that will never be reached on this earth, but thank God for all the lives that were able to be touched during the short time he was here.
