Ronald D. "Ron" Fogle
Corning - Ronald D. "Ron" Fogle, age 81 of Corning, NY passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Autumn View Healthcare Facility in Hamburg, NY.
Born on March 9, 1940 in Ebensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Delbert and Violet (Bradley) Fogle. Ron was a graduate of Altoona High School, class of 1958 and later attended California State Teacher's College for two years. He joined the Army Reserves, serving from 1957 to 1964. He married Patricia Hironimus on October 17, 1964 in Millheim, PA. Ron worked as a Senior Design Engineer for Corning Inc. for 27 years. At the age of 41 he was diagnosed with MS, but continued to work ten more years, retiring in 1991. During his time with Corning he obtained a patent. Ron never let MS win. He and Patty never stopped enjoying life and he dearly loved his family and friends.
Ron, Patty and sons spent many summers at their cottage on Lamoka Lake where their deck was always a place to sit and visit. Ron and his Lamoka Lake, Corning Inc., and Steege Hill buddies solved all the worlds problems on that deck. Ron was admired by so many and he was an inspiration to everyone who met him. Ron truly lived life to the fullest against all odds.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Fogle of Cheektowaga, NY; children: Todd (Jill) Fogle of Orchard Park, NY, Troy Fogle of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren: Johanna and Hayden Fogle; brother, Ralph Caputo of New Jersey; sisters: Vickie Fogle and Debbie Flinn both of Texas; sisters-in-law: Genie (Kenneth) Albright of New Jersey, Peggy (Roger) Barger of Florida; brother-in-law, David McClintock of Venango, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by brother, Donald Fogle; sister, Joyce Caputo; and sister-in-law, Betty McClintock.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Horseheads, 1034 W Broad Street Horseheads, NY. A memorial service will immediately follow at the church at 1:00 pm, Pastor Rhonda Kouterick officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Blair Memorial Park, Altoona, PA.
