Vincent Raniewicz Obituary
A Prayer Service was held at the Kalec Funeral Home, Monday, December 17, 2007, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Casimir's Church at 11 a.m. Rev. Jeremiah Moynihan, Presider, Deacon William Dougherty, assisting, Jack Crowley, Altar Server and Reader, Frances McLaren, Organist, Jane Stalica, Cantor, Theresa Hurley and George Gublo, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Terry Lagonegro, Colleen Campbell, Lori Raniewicz and Brenda Derrick placed the Pall; wife, Dorothy placed the Crucifix, Barbara Campbell, Patti Smithers and Helen Leonard presented the gifts. Pall Bearers were: Timothy Campbell, Michael Wichtowski, Jim Leonard, George Gublo, Michael Smithers, Joseph Lagonegro, Joseph Raniewicz and Andrew Raniewicz, Honorary Bearers: Charles Klugo, Ralph Bloom and Robert Kalec. Many ushers from the parish formed an Honor Guard at the Church in Honor of Vinnie's many years of service. Deacon William Dougherty conducted the Committal Prayers at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

You and Vinnie have been a part of Joanne and my memories of Elmira and the wonderful Polka People from St. Casimirs. Please accept our sincere sympathy on your loss. Vinnie is now in a better place, where we all aspire to some day. May God Bless you and all who loved him.
