Virginia Skutski

Virginia of Galeton, PA 76, died on Thursday, March 14, 2002 in Bonnie Hurler's Personal Care Home, Potter Brook, PA. Born November 14, 1925, in Galeton, she was the daughter of Carl and Roxie Losey Frazer. On March 14, 1945, in Buffalo, N.Y., she married Albert R. Skutski, who predeceased her in 1999. Mrs. Skutski was a Registered Nurse, graduating from the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Buffalo. She was employed as a nurse at Galeton Production from 1962 to 1972. She was employed at the Green Home in Wellsboro, PA from 1972 to 1986, retiring as second floor nursing supervisor. She was a member and past president of the Galeton VFW Auxiliary and member of the Deconess Alumni Assoc. Surviving are: 4 daughters, Patty (Jerry) Henry of Germantown, MD, Sandra (Art) Guarino of Imperial Beach, CA, Sally (Butch) DeLong of Harrison Valley, PA, and Penny (Scott) Miller of Boca Raton, FL; 2 sons, A. Richard Skutski of Orlando, FL and Don A. Skutski of Galeton; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Memorials may be made to the Gale Hose Ambulance or the Goodyear Hose Co. Arrangements are entrusted to the Collins-Olney Funeral Home, Galeton.
