Anna Scott Obituary

Anna Virginia Scott passed away on January 13, 2026 at Arcadia of Denton, MD. She was 92 years old.

She was born on August 27, 1933 in Millington, MD, the daughter of the late John T. Lockwood and Anna (Christopher) Lockwood. She was the proud owner of her own business, BNV Ceramics, where her love of art and crafting came to life. In addition to ceramics, she enjoyed sculpting Native American pieces, and often volunteered at various nursing homes as a craft teacher. She loved learning about early American history and being in nature.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge 1909 in Millington, the Millington American Legion Post 108, and often volunteered at the Adult Daycare at Heron Point. She was a devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene in Kingstown.

In addition to her husband, William Henry Scott, she was preceded in death by her daughters: Dawn Faulker and Vivian Morris; stepdaughter, Nancy Jewell; sons: David, Kenny, and Glenn Walls; and sister, Barbara Wallace.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Scott (Amy) and Louis Walls (Donna); stepdaughter, Virginia Ervin (Rusty); brothers, Leonard and Ricky Lockwood; sister, Mildred McClements; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

While Anna loved flowers and they are encouraged, memorial contributions may also be made to Compass Regional Hospice at 160 Coursevall Dr. Centreville, MD 21617.

Services will be held on Friday, January 23, at 1:00 pm at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home in Chestertown. A viewing will be held one hour prior, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Crumpton Cemetery.
