Barbara Bratten Obituary

Barbara Bratten passed away on November 6, 2024, at Talbot Hospice. She was 91 years old.

On March 15, 1933, Barbara was born in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts to Jordan and Mary Tuneff. After the death of her father in 1942, she moved to Maryland with her mother and two brothers.

She graduated from Greensboro High School in 1951 and the Easton Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 as a Registered Nurse. She was employed there until retiring in 1994.

On July 12, 1959, she married William R. Bratten Jr., and they resided outside of Easton until his death in February of 1994.

Barbara was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Easton. She was a member of the Altar Guild, Trinity Threaders and assisted with the Holy Eucharist Service at William Hill Manor. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two brothers an aunt and three uncles.

Surviving are a stepson, William Bratten and wife Teddy of Salisbury, MD, three step-grandchildren; Aaron Bratten, Beth Stonnell (Joe) and Jordan Nichols (Jess), all of Salisbury, MD and five great-grandchildren; Luca and Leila Nichols, Marleigh, Noelle and Emma Stonnell all of Salisbury, MD, nephew, Mark Tuneff (Anita) and family of Michigan, Michael Tuneff of Bridgetown, MD and Richard Tuneff of Denton, MD; a special cousin, Christine Bailey of Wilmington, DE, sister-in-law, Judy Dukes of Vienna, MD, and a very close and dear friend, Kitty Adams of Denton, MD. Also surviving are many cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held on November 12, 2024 at 12 pm.

Instead of flowers, donations if desired to Trinity Cathedral or Talbot Humane in Barbara's memory.
