Christina Elizabeth Mullikin

1942 - 2023

Christina Elizabeth Mullikin, affectionately known to those who loved her as KiKi of Easton, MD, passed away peacefully on January, 18, 2023, with her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Melvin Mullikin, by her side. She passed away at Mallard Bay nursing home in Cambridge, MD. She was 80.

Born September 10, 1942, in Easton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Wilkinson and Christina Bock Wilkinson, both of Easton.

After graduating Easton High School in 1960, she obtained her nursing diploma from MaQueen Gibbs Willis School of Nursing in 1963 and completed her Master's degree from Lincoln University in 1990. She worked for Memorial Hospital in Easton for 42 years. Over the years, she managed the obstetrics, dialysis, 2-East, and pain center. She was most proud in her career of founding the pain clinic, and being published in 1994 "Collaborative Care: Pathways to Quality Outcomes" in the Journal for Healthcare Quality.

Chris loved long coffee rides with her husband on the back roads of Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Above all, what she loved the most was spending time with and making memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Chris is also survived by her sons, Jeff Mullikin of Rock Hall and Steve (Valerie) Mullikin of Piqua, OH; daughter, Terri (Joe) of Easton; sister, Carol (Eric) Sander; brother, Richard Wilkinson; sister-in-law, Sue Wilkinson, 14 grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Christina Wilkinson; brother, Edward Wilkinson; sister-in-law, Billie Wilkinson; and dear friend, Patsy Neal.
