Christopher Alexander Obituary
He is survived by his parents, F. Martin Retzolk Jr. and Lenore H. Retzolk of Denton; his son, Michael L. Alexander of West Jordan, Utah; his daughter, Lisa M. Corney of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and his grandson, Nathan Birtwistle. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael J. Alexander (Melanie) of Felton, Del., Ryan L. Alexander (Jennifer) of Chestertown, Md.; nieces and nephews, Kristy Gingerich (Justin) and Joseph Alexander of Durango, Colo., Katelyn, Allison and Braden Alexander of Chestertown; his aunt and uncle, David and Gayle (Smith) Ehrenfried of Bowie; and several cousins.
Chris was predeceased by his father, Thomas A. Alexander of Powder Springs, Ga.; his maternal grandparents, Louis G. and Hilda Smith of El Paso, Texas, William and Emily Alexander of Mt. Airy, Ga., and Pansy Kiker (McClung) of Hiram, Ga.
As a proud 10-year U.S. Navy veteran, Chris was a skilled stationary operating engineer. Before his illness, he worked for several bio-technology firms in the Washington, D.C., area as a manager.
Chris was tender-hearted and kind, and loved to laugh. He was a best friend to his brothers. He will be sorely missed by all who loved and cared for him. Chris adored his children.
Services will be privately held at the Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock at a later date.

I remember Chris from the USS Hunley AS31.. I served on board till October of 86, have some fond memories of him, the oil kings, our brothers and sisters of the fwd and aft enginrooms...

Chris Alexander was a brother, friend and shipmate and I served with Chris on the AS-31 in Holyloch Scotland 1985/87, Engineering Department, Chris worked as an oil king, he will be deeply missed by his Holyloch family.
