A proud graduate of Easton High School, Class of 1953, Buddy enlisted in the United States Army shortly after graduation and honorably served his country until 1958. His decorations and commendations included the Good Conduct Medal (two-time recipient), Sharpshooter (Carbine), Sharpshooter (SMG Cal .45), National Defense Service Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal (Germany).
Following his military service, Buddy continued his dedication to public service through a long and respected career with the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier, retiring in the 1990s. He was an active member of the American Legion Talbot Post 70.
In 1983, Buddy married the love of his life, Diane Taylor, and together they built a warm and welcoming home in Easton, where they shared more than 40 years of laughter, love, and family. Buddy enjoyed friendship, golf, and his regular lunch outings with close friends. He and Diane especially cherished their many cruise vacations and annual trips to Ocean City surrounded by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
