Elizabeth Willis Obituary

DENTON - Elizabeth T. Willis (Bette) of Denton, MD, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the Univ. of MD Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD. She was 87 years old.
Born at home in Denton on Feb. 1, 1929, Bette was the daughter of the late Sherman Lawrence Tribbitt and Minnie Alverta Thawley Tribbitt. She was a 1946 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton. She had worked as an aide in the Denton Elementary School and for many years, worked in child care at the Denton Child Development Center.
Bette is survived by her husband, Charles F. (Buck) Willis of Denton; a daughter, Suzanne W. Schmick and her husband Steve of Denton; a son, Charles A. Willis and his wife Norma Johnson of Severna Park, MD; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ann Lord of Denton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 31st, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton, with Dr. Christian Jensen officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 until 12 before the service. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery, 24865 Cemetery Road in Denton.
If friends wish to send memorial donations, the family suggests sending them to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 West Bell St., Ridgely, MD 21660.
