George "Heller" Harrison obituary, 1934-2024, Hebron Md, MD

George Harrison Obituary

George Heller Harrison, passed away Monday, April 29th, at Manokin Manor in Princess Anne, MD. He was 89.

George was born on November 29, 1934 in Easton, MD; the son of George and Rosella Harrison of Tilghman.

George graduated from St. Michaels High School and the University of Maryland. In 1957 he married Kay, his bride of over 60 years.

After serving in United States Navy, assigned to the National Security Agency at Ft. George G. Meade, George returned home to Tilghman to join the Tilghman Packing Company. After his family sold Tilghman Packing Co., George chose to leave the company but remained in the seafood business in Maryland and Virginia until 1990.

After retirement, George decided to become a Marine Surveyor and worked in that field until his early 80's. George was avid sailor and fan of NASCAR. He would do anything for those he loved.

George was survived by his daughter Tina, her husband Vin, and his son George Allen. He was the proud grandfather of Taylor Harrison, Christopher Perrotta, Nicholas Perrotta, John Harrison, William Harrison, Julia Perrotta Tailby, Steven Perrotta, and Joseph Perrotta. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Guiliana Kay Perrotta, Vincent Richard Perrotta, William Vincent Tailby, and Sophia Sally Perrotta.
