Kayla Dale Obituary

MILLINGTON - Kayla M. Dale of Millington, Md., and Guyton, Ga., found her peace on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in Norfolk, Va. She was 28. Kayla was the daughter of Kimberly Skinner and her husband Duane and her adoptive grandparents, Robert and Jenice Parks.
After graduation from Queen Anne's County High School, Kayla entered the United States Coast Guard, where she proudly served her country for nine years as a yeoman second class.
Kayla was an amazing mother to her son Landon, and a caring, loving and goofy daughter. She was also described as an uplifting protective sister who enjoyed crabbing, fishing and crafts. Socializing with family and friends was a large part of her life.
In addition to her parents, son Landon, and her grandparents; Kayla is survived by her father, Robert W. Anderson; brothers, Robert and James Parks; uncle, Robert and Tracy Parks; stepsister, Robin Rolf; and grandmother, Nancy Lou Skinner.
A celebration of Kayla's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, in the Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville, Md. The family requests attendees to wear bright colors to truly celebrate life and the way Kayla lived hers. No Black Please ...
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Kayla's memory to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall St. 29th Floor, New York, NY, 10005.
