Linda K. Watkins

1955 - 2025

With deepest love and sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Linda Kay Watkins (Barr), who left this world peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the age of 70. Linda was born on March 28, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Arthur Barr and the late Dorothy Davis. For the past 48 years she made her home in Price, Maryland, where she created a life filled with family, warmth, and happiness. In July 1977, Linda married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Watkins, and together they built a home rooted in kindness, laughter, and steadfast love. They shared a beautiful marriage until Bob's passing in 2019, and Linda carried his memory with her always. Linda was a wonderful mother and homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a loving, stable, and nurturing home for her family. She also worked for herself for many years as a housecleaner and caretaker, offering help and comfort to those who needed it with her trademark gentleness and dependability. Her happiest professional years were spent at JBK Hardware in Chestertown, MD, where she proudly served the community for more than 25 years. She formed lasting friendships there and was known for always lending a hand, sharing a smile, or offering helpful advice. She is survived by her children, Rob Watkins (Nicole) and Jennifer Neidenbach (Stephan), who were her pride and joy. She was a devoted and deeply loved grandmother to her four grandchildren-Samantha, Evie, Connor, and Katie-each of whom brought her endless happiness and purpose. Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent being their "Grand-ma." Linda's gentle spirit, compassion for others, and quiet strength touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a way of making people feel cared for, understood, and welcomed. Her legacy will live on in the kindness she showed, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely. Her family takes comfort in knowing that the love she poured into the world remains, and that she is now reunited with her beloved Bob. A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held on Thursday, December 4.
