Louise Marshall Obituary

Louise Ann Lewis Marshall passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family who held her hand until the end.

Louise married Allen Franklin Lewis in 1949; they were happily married for 49 years. Together they had eight children: Linda, Gail, Elaine, Alvin, Allen, Marylou, Lisa, and Mark. She was preceded in death by her children Linda (Frank) and Alvin. She is survived by Gail (Harry), Elaine (George), Allen, Marylou, Lisa (George), and Mark (Vicki).

In 2000 she married Melvin Marshall; they were married for eight years. She was preceded in death by Melvin and step-son Rickie. She is survived by her step-son's wife Jane, step-granddaughter Cindy (Allen), and step great-grandson Logan.

Born into a large family as the fifth of 19 children, she helped her mother raise her siblings and was affectionately known as "Nukes." She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Shultz and Margaret (Callahan) Shultz; eight brothers, Bobby, Billy, James, Earnest (David), Alpheys, Raymon (Martin), Harry, and Tommy; and four sisters, Peggy, Ida Marie, Mary, and Theresa. She is survived by three sisters: May, Nora Annette, and Adelia.

Louise had been a resident of Parkview in Easton for eighteen years, where she enjoyed the company of many wonderful neighbors. Earlier in life she worked at Gray Block Ribbon, spooling ribbons for 12 years. After retiring, she opened and lovingly ran her own hot dog stand in Lewis, Delaware.

She cherished time with friends and family. Wednesdays were reserved for Bingo, and she also enjoyed playing Canasta, drawing, and painting. Louise loved hosting - her home was often filled with guests from sunrise to sunset.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In 2025 she had five generations of family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Louise's name to Talbot Hospice House in Easton, Maryland. She chose to remain at home, surrounded by family, thanks to the compassionate care provided by Talbot Hospice and Homecare.

A service will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Easton, MD at 11 AM. There will be an hour visitation held prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM at the church. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery following the service.
