Patrick Boyd Obituary

Patrick Henry Boyd, 81, of East New Market, died November 17, 2025 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton.

Born May 10, 1944, he was the son of the late William Henry Boyd and Margaret Ruth Harrison Greenhawk.

Pat was a self-employed truck driver who worked for several companies on the eastern shore. He

always had a smile on his face. He would talk to anyone, and if he talked to you, you made a new friend.

He served in the National Guard and was a member of Hurlock American Legion Post 243, Federalsburg VFW 5246 and several classic car clubs. He was known by many for the classic cars he restored.

He is survived by a daughter, Tina Boyd of Cambridge; a son, William Henry Boyd of Cambridge; a granddaughter, Heather Ann Ruark, husband Chuck, and their two children, Hayden Ruark and Adelyn Ruark all of Hurlock; a grandson, Joshua Wingfield of Woolford; a brother, David Boyd and a sister, Mary Lou Townsend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Boyd in 2012;and a sister, Wilma Elms.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00AM at the funeral home where friends will be received one hour prior. Pastor David Talley will officiate. Interment will follow in Unity Washington Cemetery. Food and fellowship will be provided by and at the Hurlock American Legion following the interment.
