James Minnis Obituary
He was predeceased by his parents, John W. Minnis, Sr. and Alice Schlosser Minnis; his loving wife, Jean Kennedy Minnis; brother, John W. Minnis, Jr.; brothers-in-law, John Coates, Charles Kennedy and Robert Kennedy; sister-in-law, Florence Minnis and niece, Deborah Minnis.
Jimmy was born in Washington, D.C., and later moved with his family to Culpeper, Va. Jimmy had a long and successful career in sales which included Home Beneficial Life, Ditch Witch, Indian Acres and Merchants Grocery. Jimmy will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his love for playing tennis, golf and travel, which included visiting all 50 states.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Slate Mills Baptist Church, 10 Church Lane, Sperryville, VA 22740.
