James Throckmorton Obituary
James Grannon Throckmorton, 94, of Barboursville, VA passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1927 in Halifax County, to the late Fuller and Lucy Throckmorton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Corinne Throckmorton; his children, Mark Throckmorton (Brenda), Todd Throckmorton (Sheila Alvis), and Teresa Throckmorton (Wayne Rothbaum; grandchildren, Eric Throckmorton, Lara Lam, Christopher Rollins (Mackenzie), Ashley Rollins, Caden Rothbaum, Jaron Rothbaum, and Dagan Rothbaum; and great grandchildren, Michelle Throckmorton, Lindsay Throckmorton, Abigail "Abby" Throckmorton, Jaxon Lam, Maverick James Rollins, and Savanna Rollins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son; and siblings, Helen Wilmouth, William "Bill" Throckmorton, Aaron Throckmorton, Marshall Throckmorton, Fuller "Tank" Throckmorton, Jr., and Coris Throckmorton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Preddy Funeral Home, with a Masonic Service beginning at 10:45 a.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Graham Cemetery with military honors.
