Patricia Scott Corbin

Patricia Scott Corbin, of Rixeyville, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2021. Mrs. Corbin was born May 25, 1933 to the late James H. Scott, Sr. and Ida Dennis Scott.

Mrs. Corbin was a long time member of 52 years at Black Oak Regular Baptist Church. Throughout the years, she also attended Bethel Baptist Church in Great Falls, VA and Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, SC. She took great pleasure in teaching preschoolers and Bible School.

Mrs. Corbin worked for the Federal Government for 40 years retiring in 1993, having worked for the US Military Departments in Washington, DC, Charleston, SC and HQ NATO in Brussels, Belgium. She lived in Rixeyville, VA where she built her house in 1982. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandma "Namoo" and great grandmother . Mrs. Corbin always enjoyed watching her granddaughters cheer, ride horses, and gave great support and love. She was also there for her grandsons, cheering them on as they played football from the age of 6 on up to high school. She even attended some of the great grandkids activities.

Mrs. Corbin loved to travel with her friends and sisters. She was always on the go and ready to try new things. We feel honored and privileged to have been her family. She loved everyone unconditionally and was the BEST mom. She will be greatly missed and our lives will never be the same with her gone. We will miss her presence, her smiles and just being able to pick up the phone to call her. We will miss you mom. Our hearts are sad but we have your love and memories with us always.

Mrs. Corbin is survived by her children, Keith M. "Marty" Corbin, Elizabeth C. "Bonnie" Reese (Bill) and Daniel Scott Corbin (Karen); grandchildren, Bill Reese, IV (Erica), W. Christopher Reese (Lauren), Taylor Leigh Corbin, Danielle Nicole Ellis (Hunter), and Hailey Marie Corbin; great grandchildren, Gracelyn Leigh Reese, Payten Madison Reese, Kendyl Marie Reese, Carter Lee Reese, and Savannah Amelia Reese; a brother, James Herbert Scott, Jr.

She is also survived by nephews, Billy R. Singleton (Sandi), Willis Scott (Nancy), James Scott, John Ryan Scott, Robert "Skeeter" Edwards (Lorna), and Marshall "Pete" Edwards (Donna); nieces, Sharon S. Williams (Richard), Cheryl S. Oscar (Frank), Elizabeth Scott Sanquine (Evan), Barbara Morgan (Dennis), Nancy Jewell and Patricia Menefee.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Corbin is preceded in death by her former husband, Marshall Corbin, three sisters, Evelyn Scott Singleton, Hazel Scott Shipe and Mary Frances "Pearl" Scott Creel; nephews, James "Stuffy" Edwards, George "Bo" Edwards and Kenneth "Bill" Creel and beloved grandson, Joshua Reese.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 11 am to 12 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 12 pm at Found and Sons with the Rev. Wayne Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA. Pallbearers will be Daniel Corbin, William "Lil Bill" Reese IV, Christopher Reese, William "Bill" Reese III, Mike Corbin, and John Ryan Scott.
