I was saddened to learn of Pat´s passing. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I first met Pat when I was a beginning teacher at Ann Wingfield Elementary in 1978. She was not only a mentor, but unknowingly, helped me to become the teacher that I would be for the next 40 years. I went on to teach three of her children-Wesly, Aiden, and Derry. Pat and I eventually lost touch with each other after she retired and moved from Culpeper, but she will always hold a special place in my heart.
