Tamara Lynn (Tammy) Hitt Terwilliger, 61 of Amissville, Va., passed away on January 16, 2026 at her home.
She was born on August 1, 1964 in Warrenton, Va., the daughter of the late Martin Griffith Hitt, Sr. and Gloria Bywaters Hitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Marty Hitt.
A graduate of Culpeper County High School, she will be remembered as a person with a wonderful giving heart.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Allen J. Terwilliger; her nephew and his wife, Bobby and Victoria Hitt; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 21, at New Harvest Christian Fellowship, 16144 Waterloo Road, Amissville, VA 20106. Interment followed at the Hitt Family Cemetery, Amissville.
