TORRINGTON, Wyo. - Carolyn Stoneking, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyo.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Lighthouse Ministries with Pastor Rick Carroll officiating. Carolyn Cremation has taken place.
Those who wish may direct memorial contributions to either the Davis Hospice Center or to Lighthouse Ministries.

www.colyerfuneralhome.com.Carolyn was born Oct. 18, 1930 in Columbus, Neb. the daughter of Earl and Alice (Norsworthy) Wade. While Carolyn was growing up, the family lived in several towns in Nebraska, Utah, and Wyoming. She graduated from Guernsey, Wyoming High School in 1949. Carolyn married John Stoneking in Cheyenne, June 26, 1949 and the couple lived at Guernsey where Carolyn enjoyed being a full time homemaker. John passed away in 1998 and Carolyn moved to Torrington in 2006.
Carolyn was active in various organizations while living in Guernsey. She was a member of the Guernsey Red Hat Society, the Guernsey Birthday Club, and the Guernsey Presbyterian Church where she served as State Sewing Chairwoman for the Presbyterian Women. Carolyn also served as Sunday School teacher and a 4-H Leader and Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Guernsey VFW Auxiliary.
Carolyn collected Hallmark Christmas ornaments. She enjoyed reading and she loved to see her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Peg Stoneking of Torrington; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Justin Young of Lamar, Colo., and Barb and Ken Kinser of Okeechobee, Fla.; sister Salley Gillen and her husband Dean of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding Carolyn in death were her parents; husband; son, Jerry; sister, Jane Kelley and half-sisters, Evelyn Bruegman and Mary Malloy.
