Deloras Elaine Dermer, 94, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church In Glenwood. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials are to the

Born on September 7, 1931, in Minatare, Nebraska, Deloras was the daughter of Bernadine and Ralph Sindelar. Being the eldest daughter, she played a large role in the upbringing of her seven brothers, nurturing them with the same love and steadiness that would later define her own family life.
On January 8, 1951, Deloras married the love of her life, Charles Dermer, and together they built a beautiful life over 67 wonderful years of marriage. They raised eight children - Mark, Janet, Charles Jr., Douglas, Gwen, Susan, Randall, and Karen - filling their home with love, laughter, and faith.
Deloras spent her career as a Physical Therapy Assistant at the Iowa State School in Glenwood, Iowa, where her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact on countless lives. She was also a devoted member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Glenwood, where she and Charles made their home until December 2013. Her faith and commitment to her parish were a cornerstone of her life.
Deloras loved dancing and traveling. Together with Charles, she visited every state in the country and explored several countries abroad - creating cherished memories wherever they went.
Family was Deloras's greatest joy. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - always ready with a delicious home-cooked meal. Her legacy of love lives on in her 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles; her great-grandson, Gabe; six brothers; and her parents, Bernadine and Ralph.
Deloras will be remembered for her deep faith, her quiet strength, her kindness, and her endless love for her family. Though she will be dearly missed, her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
