Donald Walker Obituary

SANGER, Texas - Donald Duane Walker, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at the Denton, Texas Hospital after a short stay there.
Donald was born at Bayard, son of Earl and Eugenia (Jeffres) Walker Oct. 13, 1933. He was educated at Districts C14 and South 73.
In 1957 he entered the military. At the time of Bay of Pigs incident he was called back into service.
He met and married Essie (Beal) Treece at Longview, Texas in 1957. To this marriage one son Billy was born.
Don worked for the Big Ford Company in Longview later moving with the company to Denton/Sanger Texas area.
He worked in Bridgeport Equipment for a short time.
After retirement they started a lawn mower sales and service in Sanger up unto the present time.
Don always enjoyed cars, hunting and watching sporting events.
He is survived by Essie, wife of 55 years; son, Billy (Renae) of Bedias, Texas; stepson, Larry Treece of Sanger; grandsons, Terry, Daniel and Ronnie; step son, Nick; two great-grandchildren; two step grandsons; brothers, Pastor Gary (Vonda Dee) Walker, Lance of Creek, Wyo., Owen (June) of Bayard; sister, Maureen Reiber of Scottsbluff and sister-in-law Agnes Walker of Dalton.
Preceding him in death were brother Dallas, brother-in-law James Reiber and parents, Earl and Jean Walker.
A military graveside service will be held in the Bayard Cemetery at a later date.
