Gloria Marquez Schanaman May 6, 2022 Gloria Marquez Schanaman, 74 of Gering, Nebraska passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at her home. A rosary service will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Cremation has been taken place. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Gloria was born on August 3, 1947 in Valley City, North Dakota to Richard A and Richardis R (Wollersheim) Bommer. She attended school in Valley City, North Dakota then moved to Scottsbluff with her family when her father died. She attended St Agnes and Scottsbluff Public Schools. She was a hard worker and worked many years in the restaurant industry, mostly at Bush's Gaslight and also had her own restaurant. She liked working in her yard and flower beds and liked to collect anything frogs. She had several special pets over the years that she loved dearly. She was a very giving and caring person and loved to feed people. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Denise Marquez (Kenny) McGrady of Traphill, NC and son Victor Paul Marquez II (Gayle) of Lake Jackson, TX; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; siblings Mary (Larry) Salberg of Katherine, ND, Charlene Gimpel of Beaumont, TX, Linda Webb of Phoenix, AZ, Shirley (Don) Stagner of Alamosa, CO and her favorite and closest Rita (Antonio) Tecson of Scottsbluff, NE; half brother James (Nori) Wlaschin of Scottsbluff, NE; step siblings Connie (Joe) Ruhlman, of North Platte, NE, Bob (Bonita) Wlaschin of Marion, IA, Patty Wilkins of Austin, CO, step sister-in-law Mo Wlaschin of Palm Springs, CA; special niece Shelly Encinia (Phil) and special friend Jess Waddell; A great niece, great nephew, two great great nieces and one great great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents Richardis Wollersheim Wlaschin and Richard A Bommer; step father Bernard Wlaschin, daughter Monica Rose Jenkins, brother James R Bommer, step brother Kenneth Wlaschin, and husband Bob Schanaman.
