Gloria did find some choices she made difficult to accept, such as her lack of communicating with her siblings effectively. For various reasons she did not often engage in writing or calling her loved ones, including her children but she fondly recalled several occasions that stuck out in her memory. Her daughters and son made her proud. Gloria used laughter to cover some of her feelings but when we finished a particularly hard shift at the restaurant, she spoke of her memories back in South Dakota and Nebraska. I had wished I had more relatives to rely on. Gloria had a knack of decorating her home with colorful accessories and beautiful plants and lovely outdoor gardens. Her voice was distinctive and laugh would be contagious. She significantly affected my life in Scottsbluff!

It is not the same without Gloria's wit and distinctive laugh. I miss that. She was a friend to all she met. Best regards to her family.

After one year gone, but Gloria is not forgotten. I miss her sense of humor and her distinctive laugh. I find myself this past year calling my 70-pound Bassett "You big lug!" which she often referred to her dog and my big "Turbo," an 85-pound St. Bernard/Golden Retriever. A little bit of Gloria is with me. Back in the 1990's, everyone that worked in a restaurant in the Scottsbluff surrounding area knew Gloria from her long career in food service. I learned a lot from her. RIP

Gloria will be missed by many as she was a friend to all she met. I have fond memories of working with Gloria at the Scottsbluff Inn and Vi's Diner. She was always smiling and outgoing. I miss the impromptu road trips we took around Nebraska. Rest In Peace, my friend.
