Julienne M. Gasseling
December 6, 1968 - November 15, 2025
Julienne M. Gasseling, 56, of Minden, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at her home following a seventeen-month battle with cancer. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials in Julienne honor are kindly suggested to the family for an education fund for her three grandsons. Craig Funeral Home in Minden is assisting the family.
Julienne Marie Gasseling was born December 6, 1968, to Sylvester and Judy (Stower) Gasseling of Hemingford Nebraska. Julienne graduated from Hemingford High School in 1987 and Chadron State College in 1991 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation Julienne went to work for the Alliance Times Herald, in Alliance Nebraska until 1993 when she moved to Minden NE, where she was the editor of the Minden Courier until 1997 when she took a position at Baldwin (Parker) Filters. She worked there for 27 years.
Julienne was blessed with two amazing sons and a bonus daughter. These children provided her with six grandsons who were the light of her life, she loved spending time with them.
Julienne spent many hours leading her son's Scouting groups and coaching their baseball.
Julienne loved to travel, even though she had to work she managed to squeeze in a few fun trips here and there, she loved Alaska, Charleston and Yellowstone.
In June of 2024 Julienne began her courageous battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. She did it with a smile on her face and was a true thriver. On August 30th of 2025, Julienne and Tim Head celebrated their love with a commitment ceremony after nine years of being together.
Those left to cherish her memory include her spouse, Tim Head; father, Sylvester Gasseling; sister, Kathleen (Verlin) Downing-Schaefer; sons, Evan (Isabella) Gasseling and their sons: Jason and Henry, and Andrew Gasseling and his son, Weston; bonus daughter, McKenna Wilcox and her children: Kamdyn, Korbyn, and Keisyn; nephews, Jacob (Megan) Downing and their daughter, Jubilee Downing; Matthew Downing, and Michael Downing and fiancé Lexi; brother-in-law, Scott Downing and partner, Terri; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by mother, Judy Stower Gasseling.
