Patsy Draper Obituary

DALTON - Patsy Draper, 85, died early Friday morning, March 25, 2011, at the Memorial Health Center in Sidney.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, in the United Church of the Plains, Presbyterian site in Dalton with Pastors Leon "Bud" Gillespie and Donna Herman officiating. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney.
Memorials have been established to the Dalton and Gurley Rescue Units.
Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home. Friends who wish can sign the register book until 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney.

Patsy Lou Draper, the daughter of Jess and Bessie (Ferguson) Grove was born Nov. 1, 1925, at Mitchell, S.D. The family moved to Idaho Springs, Colorado before moving to Michigan. Her father died when she was eight years old and she and her mother moved to Denver, where she grew up and attended school.
On April 9, 1945 she was united in marriage to Harold Draper and the city girl moved to the family farm west of Gurley, where she lived until the time of her death.
After her youngest son started school, she went to work for the Egging Company as a bookkeeper for over twenty years.
Patsy enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, reading, going to auctions and loved her cats. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Dalton-Gurley Garden Club.
Survivors include her sons, Skeeter and wife Helen Draper and Stanley and wife Emily Draper all of Salt Lake City, Utah and Steven and wife Carmen Draper of Gurley; sister-in-law, Elda Draper of Sidney; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her father Jess Grove, her mother Bessie Clark, her stepfather Dean Clark, a half brother Bob Fergu-son and her husband.
