Ellen & Family,
We were so sorry to hear that Reuben had passed. We worked with Reuben at LCF. He told us ours was the only jailhouse romance he approved of...since we worked there!! I loved every one of Reubens stories and he told me quite a few since we worked 3rd shift when I first started, I will always be in awe of his military experience, he was my History channel!! He taught me more about that job than anyone there, he should have been running that place, but I know that he just wanted to have a simple job title until he retired. I had so much respect for his wisdom and his experiences. My favorite memory is when we had a garden at LCF and we'd go get cantelopes out of the garden and then fill them with vanilla ice cream, everyone else thought we were crazy, but it was just the best!
He was a wonderful friend to both of us, and we'll never forget him!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we hope that all your memories will help you through this time.

Ellen & family,

We are so sorry for your loss. Reuben was a wonderful friend and neighbor. The memories of his and Melody's "walker races" will always be with us, as will all the times he came over to our house to "check on his big buddy". He was very much loved and will be forever in our hearts, as are you, Rod, Wes, and their families. May God keep and comfort all of you, and please remember that we are here for you whenever you might need us.
