Terry was born on November 22, 1951, in Scottsbluff, NE on Thanksgiving Day, a detail he loved to share throughout his life. Raised in Bridgeport, he grew into the hardworking, steady, and loyal man his family and friends knew him to be.
A farmer and custom truck driver for his entire life, Terry took immense pride in the work he did and the land he called home. Farming wasn't just his occupation-it was truly his passion. He cherished the rhythm of the seasons, the smell of fresh-turned dirt, and the deep satisfaction of watching a field he tended come to life. Whether he was planting, harvesting, or simply checking the fields, Terry was at his best when he was working the land. He was happiest behind the wheel of a rig or out on the fields, doing the kind of honest work that shaped his character.
Outside of work, Terry enjoyed football, tractor pulls, drag racing, and hunting-pastimes that reflected his love of engines, open spaces, and simple joys. He also had a deep bond with his dogs, Buck and Raquel, who were constant companions by his side. In a touching and unexpected moment of loyalty, Buck passed away at the exact same time Terry did, a final testament to the unbreakable bond between them.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ruby (Bright) Sinks; his brothers, David Sinks and Gary Sinks; and his daughter, Melissa Sinks Tucker.
He is survived by his children, Christopher (Amber) Sinks Tucker of Polson, Montana, Gage (Stacie) Coduto of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Kyle Sinks of Lodgepole, Nebraska, Reed (Cara) Sinks of Sylvester, Georgia, and Aislinn Sinks of Sidney, Nebraska. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce (J.R.) Shaffer of Livermore, Colorado; his ten granddaughters; and his two grandsons.
Terry's life was shaped by hard work, loyalty, and a quiet, enduring strength that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with loved ones gone before him-and that Buck was right there with him.
