Jimmie "Faye" Westmark

Jimmie Faye Mullins Westmark, (Faye) of Lillian, Alabama, died peacefully in the arms of her husband. on July 11, 2024, following an extended illness. The reverend Dean Conkel officiated her funeral service which was held at Lillian Fellowship Church in Lillian, Alabama, on 8/20/2024. She will be laid to rest near her family at the Oddfellows cemetery in Starkville, MS.
Faye was a native of Starkville, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Reverend C.S. Mullins and Mary Lee Arnold Mullins and attended all of her school years in Starkville. After high school she went to The Mississippi College for Women.
Among her many talents, Faye was known as an accomplished pianist. She was known to play the piano at many of the school productions in Starkville and also for her church every Sunday. She continued to play at her home church wherever she lived as long as she was able.
In her career, Faye was invaluable to those she worked for. She was the Administrative Secretary for The Ramsey Law Firm in Dothan, Alabama, as well as the administrative assistant for the Executive Hospital Administrator of SEAMC and for the Head of Nursing at SEAMC.
Faye was a wonderful wife, mother and friend who was known for her extraordinary kindness and giving nature. She loved to travel and was able to visit Europe several times. She also loved to go to New Orleans, loving to stroll the avenues, visit the museums and enjoy the wonderful Cajun dishes. She was gifted with an artistic nature and was known for her creativity, gifting dried flower artwork and other creations to the delight of those who were fortunate enough to know her and receive them.
Besides traveling, Faye loved everything about the bay and beach, especially St. Joe Bay where she lived for many years. She loved to fish, crab, scallop and collect shells. She spent many days out on the bay exploring and enjoying all that the bay had to offer.
Faye is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ron Westmark of Lillian, Alabama. Her daughters Lisa Ann Clapp of Pensacola and Susan C Gandy (Billy) of Madison, Mississippi and her son, Samuel E. Westmark (Tammy), of Pensacola. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Chris Gandy, Nicholas Gandy, Katherine Westmark, Ronald Westmark II, Serena Bishop and Celeste Bishop and many nieces and nephews. And a very special friend, Duane Filippi of Pensacola, FL.
