I miss my Dad so much, and at times, it doesn't get any easier. As I got older and his directions led him across the country we saw each other less than more children ever have experienced, but I always knew he was by my side and loved me unconditionally. I talk to him often and feel cheated for him taken being from me, but he was a man of God and is in such a better place. I gave him 2 grand children, 5 great grand children and 3 great great grand children and he had plenty of love in his big ole heart for them and everyone in his life. He was such a good provider for my Mother and us kids. One of the hardest workers I ever knew. I can not remember him ever missing a day from work. Miss and love you Dad every single day of my life.....

We didn't know Mr Pierson for very long. We got to meet him in church a few times. We can say that during those short meetings we could tell that he was a good man and one that we would have liked to know better. We miss seeing his smile in church. May God comfort and keep his family. James and Sandra Franks

I love and miss my father greatly. Since he is with the Lord Jesus, dad now fully understands how important his life was, and how his acts of love and faith positively impacted the lives of so many people. Dad demonstrated a balance between strength and humility. He loved God, served others, and had strong morals and character. He also had an abiding joy in his heart that helped carry him through so many of life's challenges. I feel grateful to have been blessed to have Melvin as my dad. I pray that all who knew him will be comforted by the wonderful memories and that he is eternally at peace.

Melvin was a caring and wonderful husband, who took care of me for 65 years. He was a hard worker and helped others. He loved the Lord, and was always working for him. He loved singing with his children and was proud of all of them. He will always be missed. He is at peace with God.

In loving memories of my dad. He once told me that I would never be too old to sit on his lap and cry on his shoulder. And at 62, the offer would still have stood. He was a man who loved the Lord, and taught me how to live to do the same. I will miss his sweet smile and the funny jokes he used to tell. He raised me to know Jesus and what Christ did for me.
With love, his daughter Patty
