School nurse and health teacher in Closter Audrey M. Wolff Audrey M. (Hamilton) Wolff, 89, of Closter, New Jersey. Born on January 4, 1932 in West New York, New Jersey, Mrs. Wolff passed peacefully on November 29, 2021. Audrey lived in Closter for 60 years, and was married 58 years to Stuart Wolff (who passed peacefully this past August). Mrs. Wolff earned extensive degrees, obtaining respective bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Montclair State University, and a registered nursing degree from the now-named New Jersey City University. Audrey also held a real estate license, with which she successfully sold real properties located in Palm Coast, Florida. Mrs. Wolff was employed as a school nurse and health teacher by the Closter Board of Education for approximately 40 years. She also was active as a union leader, serving as President of both the Closter Education Association and the Bergen County Education Association, as well as a New Jersey delegate to many National Education Association conventions. Further, Audrey worked early in her career as a ship's nurse on Holland America Lines cruises. She also enjoyed her time being a head cheerleading coach at several high schools. Audrey is survived by her son David Wolff, daughter-in-law Shirley and granddaughter Katie, for all of whom she felt great love and pride.
