Benjamin De Lorenzi Obituary

Mr. Benjamin Anthony De Lorenzi, 83, passed away on July 6, 2025.
He was born in Newark, NJ, on May 28, 1942, a son of the late Theresa and Benjamin De Lorenzi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Letow, his brother, Charles De Lorenzi and his god son, Gregory De Lorenzi.
Benjamin is survived by his loving wife, Liz, his sons Daniel and David, his daughter Dianne, brother John, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, nieces, nephews and cousins both here and in Italy.
He resided in Budd Lake, NJ for 33 years before retiring as VP of Operations, Versa Machinery Co., Somerville, NJ. and relocating to Goodview, VA. where he enjoyed building whirligigs, long rides through the countryside, and feeding the wild birds.
He was a member of Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church, Vinton, VA, where he was active in supporting both Church ministries and the community.
A memorial service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, VA. Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Ashes to be interred at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for the Parking Lot Fund at Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church, 10000 Stewartsville Road, Vinton, VA 24179.
