Brother Moscato Obituary
Visitation is from the Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, N.J. 07306, www.riottofh.com, on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 99 Broadway, Jersey City. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
Brother was born Phillip Bernard Moscato to the late Leonard and Catherine Moscato and raised in the Marion section of Jersey City, N.J. He also lived on the East Coast of Florida, before moving to Ocean Township, N.J., three years ago.
Brother was a restaurateur owning 40-plus restaurants along the east coast. He was also a demolition expert involved in construction projects at the original World Trade Center in the late 1960s, the original Giants Stadium project in the 1970s, and the development of casinos in Atlantic City, N.J.
Brother was a longtime member of the Italian-American Club, Logan Avenue, Jersey City, and the Columbus Club in Lyndhurst, N.J.
He was an avid golfer who enjoyed his motorcycle, cigars, traveling abroad, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren.
Brother was a Korean War veteran and proudly served as a paratrooper in the United States Army.
Brother was the beloved husband of Angela "Angel" Moscato; devoted father of Phillip Moscato Jr., Kathy Ann Moscato Farese and Vicky Munro, and dear brother of Mary Ann Moscato. He is also survived by five loving grandchildren and three loving great-grandchildren.

I met Brother at the Winners Circle Bar on Logan Avenue back in the 1980s. Although he didn´t know me personally he helped me with a kindness i shall never forget. I will always remember that he took time for me and helped me with my problem. RIP Brother. My sincerest condolences to all the family members. William Sheppard

I was drinking a glass of Moscato Wine , when it rang a Bell ! I wondered if Chickie & Brother were still alive .
I worked for them as the Valet kid & my Dad yelled at Apples
Pauline about letting me drive with no license. Then Apples ask My Dad if he wanted the job & dad said " How Much a Night? "
TIPS ! Dad started that Opening Night at THE POINT AFTER ! We had Dad, Uncle Nick , Nicky, Bobby , Arnie & me Steve Working for about 5 yrs on weekends. I got my first lay there at 15 . Brother & Chickie & Apples were always good to me. Chubby Checker came to play one night & after dropping the Band off , he came back to sleep in the truck. I called Mom & asked her to make the Guest Bed up & Dad came up to get Chubby & he slept until 10, took a Shower & dressed & came to the NiteClub by 10:30. I met Chubby 7 more times at Disney World. I have a lot of memories from that place ( all good ones )
I have a 8x10 Photo of 3 of us Valet Parking Attendants, some where. But none of the Moscato Brothers.

I met brother Moscato thru his longtime friend bill zarsky who I am acquainted with for a long time.
We met at tom gangemi's political fund raiser for his mayoral run in Jersey City.

Sorry to hear your gone! My father was very close to brother. I believe we met when I was a kid. my father spoke well of brother. I believe he was a father figure for my pops.my father also passed a couple years ago after brothers birthday in nj... If the family would like to get it touch.. Call 908-894-8147 sorry once again.
