My Uncle Herb - Was and is a true GREAT to and for me and my entire family. I fondly relate to and agree with Jessica's comments. I visualize him from being seen by his Mother in upstate NY passing (mainly concealed by blankets) by on a commercial ice delivery sled, when supposedly in school at age 6 I believe (he had gone down and made friends with the ice cutting men); his saving the money and buying an operating model steam engine at perhaps age 8-10; loving and raising a fine family together with his beloved wife Aunt Betty; flying a plane during his early busy career days at Ansco/ Binghamton; designing and building his Geneganslet Lake camp together with several family members including my Dad (and minimally helpful me); helping me sort out my career ideas and become a Chemical Engineer which I never regretted; providing many years of wonderful Geneganslet family/ lake experiences; exhibiting in all matters that he was your good friend/ compassionate/ ethical/ humorous/ brilliant/ gutsy/ creative/ expecting your best; and ON IT COULD GO. Let's all thank God for and count our "Many Blessings of Herb"!

Herb was a true gentleman .I had the pleasure of being an officer of the Newark Rotary during Herb's membership and he was a dedicated rotarian ,doing whatever the club needed. He was also a source of counsel for me many times over the years ,Herb will be missed .May God give your families peace at this time.

I am deeply grateful for the many years I got to spend with my Grandpa Herb. He lived a full and impressive life, making for some fantastic stories. We bonded over photography and the latest in science. We shared nearly 30 years of visits to the lake. He loved puzzles and was a great sailor. He embraced new technologies and I fondly remember many humor filled, late night online chats when I was in college. I am proud to be his descendant.
