'Will be remembered as loyal, fun-loving and hard-working' James "Jim" Joseph Rosol, 73, of Venice, Florida, passed away October 13, 2021. He was born on August 7, 1948 in Summit, New Jersey to Alexander and Philomena (DiMuccio) Rosol. He graduated from Summit High School in 1966 and received his bachelor's degree in 1971 from Bethany College in Bethany, WV. Jim married his wife, Barbara nee Tagliareni, on June 62, 1982. They lived in Summit, NJ where James worked as a probation officer for Union County Probation for 32 years. Prior to being a probation officer, Jim was a brakeman for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, a job he loved. When they moved to Martinsville, NJ, James worked as a volunteer firefighter for the Martinsville Fire Department. James and his wife, Barbara, moved in Venice, FL in 2013. James enjoyed hockey and skated for 45 years. When he lived in New Jersey, he always rooted for the Rangers, but upon moving to Florida, he grew to love the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was also a Jeopardy fanatic. James also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as loyal, fun-loving, and hard-working. James is predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Filomena Rosol; his brother, Frank Rosol; his sister-in-law, Pamela Wiseman; and his furry friend, Simon. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Rosol; brothers, Thomas (Celeste) Rosol and Alexander (Ann) Rosol; brothers-in-law, Allan (Kathleen) Tagliareni and Dean Wiseman; nieces and nephews, Sara (Sean) Spicer, Susan Whitlock, Jeffrey Tagliareni, Michelle (Harry) Link, Allison (Scott) Kennedy, Robin (Simon) Elleston, Christopher Rosol, and Brian Rosol; his furry friend, Buddy, and many other family members and friends. I worked and played a little hockey with Jim. He was always fun to be around and truly one of a kind. My condolences to Barbara and family. May God shine His face on Jim.
