Kaila Cutler Obituary

Kaila Cutler (nee Weissbrott), 91, of Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, at 12:30 p.m. at Congregation Agudath Israel, 20 Academy Rd., Caldwell. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Fairview, N.J. Born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., Mrs. Cutler married her beloved husband, Ernest, in 1947, and they settled in Bloomfield, N.J., where they raised their family. She was a federal government employee for over 30 years. She was a longtime member of Congregation B'nai Israel in Nutley, N.J., where she served as Sisterhood president. In 1987, several years after the death of her husband, Mrs. Cutler moved to Caldwell, where she was actively involved at Congregation Agudath Israel right up until the time of her death. Mrs. Cutler is survived by her son, Michael Cutler of Arlington, Va. In addition to her husband of 31 years, she was predeceased by her brothers, Paul and Aaron Weissbrott. Memorial contributions may be made on her behalf to the Kiddush Fund of Congregation Agudath Israel, Caldwell, N.J. 07006.

Kaila, you will be missed. I remember when you took me to the UN when I was little and that helped me aspire to be a linguist. Also, thanks for being such a dear and special friend to my grandma Bern for so many years. Love, Eric Medved
