Linda Joyce Barrick, age 70, from Yardley, PA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 19, 2021. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Linda resided in Yardley, PA for the past 29 years. Linda was raised in Old Bridge and Hillside, NJ. She graduated from Hillside High School in 1968. She completed her studies as a Registered Nurse at the Elizabeth General Hospital School of Nursing and earned her Bachelor's Degree from William Paterson College. Linda worked at Elizabeth General Hospital for many years before transitioning to a corporate career. She held the position of Director of Regulatory Affairs until she retired from Merck & Co., Inc. Until her final moment, Linda was a genuinely warm, loving, and nurturing mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her first priority in life, and she never missed a birthday or an event. Linda's greatest joy was selflessly devoting her time to the needs of her family and friends. She loved reading books to her grandchildren, making candy, baking ginger bread cookies for the holidays, and traveling. She also loved making arts and crafts, sewing costumes, and trying new things such as painting and mahjong. Linda embraced life and was always up for an adventure and a new experience. She was also very witty and had the best sense of humor. Linda was a great conversationalist and made friends everywhere. Linda was the loving wife of the late Robert C. Barrick. They raised their two beautiful children together and enjoyed 43-years of marriage before Robert's passing in 2017. Linda was the caring daughter of the late Alfred P. and Carmela (Iacono) Yanni; Linda is also predeceased by her younger brother, Thomas Yanni. Linda is survived by her two children, Kristen and husband Craig Carpenter, Brian Barrick and wife Catherine, four adored and cherished grandchildren, Emily Carpenter, Esme Verhelle, Robyn Carpenter, and Siena Barrick; three siblings, Geraldine Singletary, Alfred DeFurianni and wife Susan, and Patricia and husband Donald Dinella; as well as by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Linda was a loyal and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, and she will be greatly missed. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State St., Ext,, Hamilton, NJ. My deepest sympathy to your family. Kristen I knew your mother from Merck. She was a very special person. You would remember me as Jimmy's mom. RIP Linda
