Beloved mother & grandmother, longtime Cranford resident Rosalie Bagenski passed away on November 24, 2021 at Highland Park Senior Living. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on February 14, 1934 and moved to Newark, NJ in 1942. She graduated from Weequahic High School, class of 1951. She lived in Cranford, NJ for over 60 years before moving back to Wilkes-Barre. Rosalie worked for New Jersey Bell and Merck & Co. She retired in 1990 as a Benefits Administrator for Bristol Myers Products Division after 25 years of service. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Theodore Walko, sister Barbara Walko, and beloved husband Leon Bagenski. She leaves her daughters, Daria Ewanik of Lewes, Delaware, Tamara Bay (David) of Danvers, Massachusetts, and Larisa Payton (Spike) of Penn Lake, Pennsylvania, 5 grandchildren, Rebecca and Matthew Bay, Jesse (Megan), Lisa (Jens), and Dustin Payton, and 2 great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Bryce Payton. Rosalie was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Rahway, New Jersey, the Cranford Thursday Club, and Friends of the Cranford Library. She enjoyed playing canasta and mahjong with her many friends. Funeral arrangements are by Yeosock Funeral Home, Plains, Pennsylvania. Viewing is from 9-10 am on Wednesday, December 1, followed by a funeral service from Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church and burial at Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 401 East Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705.
