Sheree-Anne M. Sandiford, 49, died on Thursday, July 25, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of St. Andrew and Holy Communion, 160 W. South Orange Ave., South Orange, N.J. (973)763-2355. Final service and burial will be held at a later date in Barbados, West Indies. Visitation and life celebration will be held at Gray Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at 318 East Broad St., Westfield N.J. 07090. Sheree-Anne was born in Barbados, West Indies, on April 18, 1964, to Sir Lloyd Erskine, former prime minister of Barbados, and Lady Angelita Sandiford, psychologist and educator. She graduated from Queens College High School 1980 and then attended Seton Hall University, graduating in 1985 with a B.A. She held many insurance qualifications and designations and was employed at Allstate Insurance Company as a senior claims analyst for over 27 years. A longtime resident of Westfield, N.J., Sheree-Anne was a devout member of The Episcopal Church of St. Andrew and Holy Communion, where she served as a member of the church vestry. She touched the lives of everyone that she came in contact with, both personally and professionally. She is survived by her parents; her brother, Garth Sandiford; sister-in-law, Janet Sandiford; their children, Michael Sandiford and Morgan Sandiford; her sister, Inga DeReus and husband, Martin and their children, Anna and Kira; Aunt Maxine Nevers and husband, Ken, and son, Jeffery; Aunt Zelda Gibson and Uncle Hugh Sandiford; several cousins in Barbados, Bahamas, and Ohio, Florida, Canada, England, and New York; her best friends, Karen Stuart, Nancy Morgan and Flora Hunter, along with co-workers and friends at Allstate Insurance Company. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to The Episcopal Church of St. Andrew and Holy Communion.
