BARBARA STRELL Obituary
Barbara and James Strell, lifelong residents of Coppell, passed away within days of each other, leaving behind a legacy of love and community involvement.
Barbara, born in 1945 and passed away on June 28th, 2025. James, born in 1946 and passed away on May 4th, 2025.
In November 1967, they embarked on a lifelong journey together, exploring new horizons, and making a meaningful impact through community outreach. Despite facing numerous challenges, after the loss of their son Mathew in 1986, they continued to inspire with their fortitude and unwavering commitment to each other. Barbara was an avid crocheter and knitted baby caps for local hospitals. James was famous for being a handyman extraordinaire, Mr.Fix-it, master woodworker, and car whisperer who could make old clunkers purr like new. Both were lifetime members of the Coppell Lions Club. James retired from the US Postal Service following many years of remarkable dedication. After retiring from the Coppell ISD food service, Barbara found her true calling as a talented florist, creating breathtaking arrangements.
They are survived by their daughter, Rebecca, and their grandchildren, Jacob and Katalina.
A party to celebrate their lives will be held at 459 Clear Creek Ln, Coppell, TX 75019 on Saturday, August 2nd at 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
As we celebrate both their lives, we will commemorate their legacy of love, laughter and adventure, with a festive gathering filled with delicious food, spirits, music and cherished memories.
