Jettie Bell (Wynn) Hamilton of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 25, 2021 at the age of 99.
She was born on December 1, 1921 to Steve Decatur and Florence Mae (Green) Wynn in Melissa, Texas. Jettie grew up in Melissa and attended Melissa and Anna schools where she was captain of the basketball team. When Jettie was 12 years old, she was named the champion cotton picker, picking 200 pounds of cotton in one day. Jettie married Harvey Alexander Hamilton on July 1, 1939 in McKinney, Texas. She worked for Haggar Slacks for 18 years and Wysong Hospital for 10 years. She loved doing yardwork, gardening and mainly dancing with the senior citizens.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Enloe of Lucas, Texas, Pam Simmons of Fairview, Texas, and Robin Reynolds and husband, Robert of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Mark Enloe, Matt Simmons and wife, Wendy, Betsy Simmons, Jolee Marion and husband, Mike, Carrie Moorhead and husband, Jacob; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Alexander Hamilton; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and her grandson.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
