Olga Tapia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world after a long illness on July 8, 2021, at age 83.
She was born in Laredo, Texas to Fabian Flores and Guadalupe Luna Flores on June 18, 1938. She is preceded by her husband Jose Tapia and survived by: children Becky De La Sierra, Rosie Aguilar, Esmeralda Perez, Cindy Saldivar, Paul Tapia, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren children, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many friends. Growing up in Dallas Olga became an essential member of her West Dallas community. Called the little lawyer in her neighborhood, she helped families prepare legal documents, apply for home and car loans.
Olga loved spending time with family and friends, her kitchen was always open. The family knew they had a place to stay when times were tough. She filled her home with music and good times. Most weekends family would stop by for support and great food.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 17 at 2:00 pm at The Lewisville Church of Christ located at 901 College Parkway Lewisville, Texas 75067.
