BROUSSARD

Richard L. Broussard made the journey to be with his wife Betty on May 25, 2021 as the clouds departed and the sun shown in Plano Texas.

Our Dad was born in South Louisiana in 1931. He picked cotton, cut sugar cane, thrashed rice, served in the Coast Guard, was master of the art in fire protection and taught computer classes at the Plano Senior Center in his retirement for 15 years. He gave the world 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Dad was an outdoorsman, accomplished pool player, proud Cajun, and a strong man that held to his convictions. If he told you tomorrow was Christmas, you would be advised to hang the stockings tonight. We will miss you, but Heaven is so lucky to have you.

Dad's life will be celebrated at the Sam Johnson Recreation Center in Plano on June 19 at 1:30pm - 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to the Veterans Administration or the Sam Johnson Recreation Center in Plano. Make checks payable to Sam Johnson Recreation Center, Attn: Ms. Raney Krev, 401 W. 16th St, Plano, TX 75075.

Dickie was my oldest nephew and we were very close living in Lake Arthur and stayed in touch for many years. He had a beautiful smile.
