I often say death is a myth and in a way it is. But those that don't have there loved one with them to chat with and enjoy. To them it is more of a disappointing reality.
In fact the only thing that dies is the worn out body that Carroll will leave behind as he translates into the other incoporeal worlds
In these worlds we can all visit at will and laugh and cry as we have here on earth. In the dream state we are all together looking to take our next step of evolution.
Hence Carroll, has really gone nowhere but just moved over to the other side and will always be with us.
So as William Cullen Bryant said in his poem
Thanatopsis
perhaps we should all resolve to do as it says in the final stanza of the poem.
"So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.
See you soon Carroll

It was sad to hear of my favorite cousin's death. He was born one day before me and we were close in out youth. I regret not talking to him more before his death.

Dear Barbara, So very sorry to hear of Carroll's passing. I can't think of anyone who was a nicer person; always willing to help us with good advice regarding our on line sales efforts. I am sure they'll be needing an auctioneer or better yet a Santa Claus in heaven. God bless you and your family.
